I bought this barrel for my “not thinking about the budget” upper where I would just buy the best parts for what it was going to be; a lightweight, quality 14.5″ upper with a red dot. After taking the time to build and fit everything properly into the BCM upper with BCM handguard, I took to the range to zero it and man. Shooting white box 55 gr. ammo with no magnification and just a couple shooting bags I was getting excellent groups. The weight and feel of this barrel is fantastic and you can tell it’s been made with quality and precision. The gas block journal was smooth and felt like it seals up perfectly with the gas block. And if you have any reservations at all about chrome lining being “less accurate”, please, fear not. You want this barrel.

Love these barrels. Quality and performance, doesn’t get much better than that. I have used these barrels in the past and they are really all I want. The 14.5 LW is the way to go. I have yet to find another barrel to match the weight in this profile and length.

I’m used to $450 cut-rifled match barrels on my NM Ar’s. I never expected a chrome lined, hammer forged barrel to shoot this good. Barrel far exceeded my expectations with respect to accuracy. An absolute tack driver. I put this on my wifes M4 and she loves the light weight. This would be excellent on a patrol rifle, or LE DMR type rifle.

Great barrel! Feather light, super quality. Excellent accuracy.
DD 14.5 lightweight CFH carbine gas –
This barrel is 2ounces heavier than the carbine gas. I have the carbine gas, cause 7” til the muzzle is within the design parameter and has been FULLY vetted by the US military.

I’ve had this barrel since early 2013 with an estimated round count of a little over 4,000 rounds. Mostly been used for rifle/carbine training courses with no issues. I was worried that the lightweight profile would affect accuracy but the cold hammer forged barrel is very accurate and I feel it’s going to last a long time.

I have this barrel along with a DD BCG and the reliability is outstanding. For a short lightweight barrel it has exceeded my expectations for accuracy. I bought this barrel knowing that I was going to put many many rounds of steel cased ammo through it and it was going to take a beating. Thousands of rounds later and it’s still shooting amazing.
