I wish the angle cut wasn’t necessary, be sure to read the rail instructions. It’s not clearly stated that you should switch the direction on your vise depending on if you’re removing or installing the barrel nut. If you put pressure on the angled part it can get destoryed. I think steel should be harder as well.
